A few weekends ago I was privileged enough to get the opening guest dj slot on the very first “EDM PDX” show on 94.7 FM KNRK in Portland, Oregon (Saturday February 15th 2014).

If you love Drum and Bass and have not heard Rene Lavice’s  “Insidious” album it is imo THE Drum and Bass album of the year. I thought i would do a short little mix with a few of his tracks to give you an idea how good it is. I did take a bit of liberty in doing some sample/looping so this mix may not reflect how the individual tracks on the album sound. My hidden gen in this mix is “So Inspired to Fail”, absolutely love this track.Hope you enjoy this set and BUY THIS ALBUM ! ! !!!!!

Deep House has and always will be my guilty pleasure. My favorite kind of gig and venue were the ones with only like 30 to 40 people. The pay off with Deep House in a small uncrowded venue like that is watching every single person bob their heads in sync when a track like Nora En Pure’s “Come with Me” starts playing, I love those moments. I found Black Tiger Sex Machine through a friend and totally fell in love with their style and sound. I put together a sampler mix with a few of their tracks and sent it off to BTSM asking them if it was ok for me to post it for some friends to check out and they responded with “totally, one love man!”. So if you like Dark, Heavy Electro House you must check these guys out.
