basic mud commands

The section should help familiarize yourself with some of the most basic commands you'll need to know. Please note that this section is very incomplete and will be replaced shortly. Stay tuned.

Command	Description
help	See a list of common help topics within in-game help system. Very informative.
help index	See a complete index of all help topics.
help <topic>	See detailed help on a specific topic, or the closest match.
who	See a list of players that are currently online.
look (or "l")	Look at the room you're in.
look (or "l") <object>	Look at an object.
say <text>	Say something. Only people in the room will hear you.
north/east/south/west/up/down (or n, e, s, w, u, d)	Move between rooms.
exits	See descriptions of exits from the current room.
inventory (or "i")	See what you're currently carrying
equipment (or "eq")	See what you're currenty wearing
get <item>	Pick up an item from the ground.
drop <item>	Drop an item onto the ground.
wear <object>	Wear something that you're carrying.
remove <object>	Remove something that you're wearing.
wield <weapon>	Wield a weapon.
hold <object>	Used to hold lights, hold items, staves, etc.
score (or "sc")	Look at your statistics.
gossip <text>	Used to talk to everyone online. Use sparingly, and keep it clean.
!	Type this to repeat your last command.
sleep / rest	Used to regenerate hit points and mana more quickly.
wake / stand	Used to get back up after resting or sleeping.
consider (or "con") <monster>	Compare your level with a mob's level. Not always entirely accurate.
kill <monster>	Attack a monster.
assist <player>	Used to assist somebody who is already in combat.
flee	Used to escape from combat. Recall scrolls are more efficient.
cast 'spellname'	Cast a spell on yourself. (Note: the ' brackets are required)
cast 'spellname' <target>	Cast a spell on someone/something else. (Note: the ' brackets are required)
rent	Use this at the Reception to log out.
tell <player> <message>	Send a private message to another player.
eat <food item>	Command used to eat (helps regeneration).
drink <drink container>	Command used to drink (helps regeneration).
time	To see mud time, real time, and scheduled reboot time.
aff	See what spells or enchantments you're affected by.
