There's a very large assortment of gear available on Ronin (some good, some bad) and it can be very frustrating for a new player if they have no idea what any of it does. This section details some of the better newbie gear available on Ronin. Some gear is class-specific, some is alignment specific, so certain classes will require different gear. For the purposes of this guide, it is assumed that your character will be saintly in alignment (except for Anti-Paladins, which are required to remain evil to cast spells.)

You'll definitely want some +CON (Constitution) gear to gain more hit points when you level, as well as +WIS (Wisdom) and +INT (Intelligence) gear to gain more practice sessions when you level. +WIS (Wisdom) makes it easier for your character practice. You can't see your stats until you reach level 7, but you can assume each starts at approximately 12.

For each body part, I've offered some suggestions on equipment to seek out. The stats on these objects as well as restrictions can be found to the right of the object names. Most of these objects are quite common and should be fairly easy to attain, those marked with an "(X)" may be a little more difficult to come by. The best place to start looking for equipment is the Donation Room located 2 north, 1 west from Market Square (MS) or just one west from the Temple of Midgaard. Once you've got a few levels into you to show that you're serious about playing, many Deputies will be happy to help you get geared up a little further.
